These people called and played a pre-recorded announcement identifying themselves as "Card Services" -- which happens to be the payee name of one of my credit cards. They were vague in that they were calling about a letter that I "might or might not receive" telling me my rates were going up, and if I wanted to talk to someone about being exempted from this increase, to press 9. I pressed 9 and waited for a long time for someone to come to the phone. A man finally came on and said "and you are calling about lowering your rate?" I said "I'm wondering who you are -- are you from one of my current credit card companies? Who exactly are you?" I was extremely nice during this, because I still wasn't sure, and he swore at me and hung up.

Calls multiple times a day over the past week. One couple call was at 2:00 in the morning. Spanish speaking man.

The man said, he's calling from New York, Atlantic Management ... and started (without 2 sec. pause) talking to me about 2-3 min. Then I said to him that i'm not interested of his offer , he said that I don;t like american people. I said "bye" and hang up. Very very stupid call.

Keeps calling. WIll not leave a message on the machine. when i called the number there was a recording telling me the number had been disconnected or no longer in service. this was only within a few mins. from their call.

Call is requesting a western union be sent in the amount of $234.00 and a $7,000.00 deposite from the US Government grant department will be deposited.

I've been getting these phone calls for several months. Tried everything from being nice to tell them to *uck off ..they get a self righteous attitude and hang up. I actually started receiving the stupid magazines so I call each company to get a hold of all the magazine companies and got a hold of the company that sends them out. I was told it was a special promotional offer. I told them to cancel it. I also cancelled the credit card I have now and changed the number so they could never charge me for any of their crap. How can people get off on torturing and harassing people like this? Is there anyway to turn them in?
